Attractiveness of the Cool Guy Personality

First off it is important that we define what coolness really is. Wikipedia defines a cool behaviour with "A set of discernible bodily movements, postures, facial expressions and voice modulations that are acquired and take on strategic social value within the peer context". From there we can see that the traits a cool personality has, come with immediate social advantages. People are not born with this type of personality, like all the other archetypes we have described before, it is acquired.

To be considered a part of this group type, usually hard-work is obliged. Expertise, in most cultures, is considered a cool trait. And a recent set of studies have shown that to reach a respectable level of expertise, either 10 years or 10,000 hours of invested time are needed to acquire such a status. The areas of expertise may vary from the visual arts to more technical domains.

Concerning their physical appearance, there is no particular norm they follow. Some may be fashionable, others may even be hipsters, sharing only the fact that they usually look good in the eyes of most of the public and social circles they are a part of.

Confidence is probably their most important trait and what females tend to see as most attractive. The way they carry themselves, inspires the security women look for in a suitable mate.
