Happiness and Time Dilation Through Awe

Every human at some point in their existence experiences for the first time the consuming effects of absolute admiration. Let it be the delicate sway of the feminine figure, a raindrop slowly making it´s way through the leaves of a dense tree, or for that matter the grandiosity of the Pyramids in Giza.

Recent studies in the University of Stanford and the University of Minnesota, have finally paid attention to what the actual effects of being in awe have on our self. It was found through three different experiments, that when participants developed this sense of admiration, they were much more patient, less materialistic, and felt as if they had more time available.

When you are overwhelmed with awe. Nothing else matters. Every breath you take seems everlasting. Slowly you descend into a state of complete and utter delectation. It is actually only through awe that we stop thinking about the past or future. We think about what we have in front of us, at present. With this, our perception of time is ultimately altered. We are finally living up to the age-old adage of Carpe Diem.
Most of us take for granted what we find ordinary in waking life. The complexion of most that we consider ordinary is far more intricate than we could ever imagine. I am not saying that if we are constantly expressing our explicit reverance for all that we encounter in life will we be happier and with a better sense of wholeness. What I am saying is that we should not take it for granted because life usually has a lot more to offer than we are able to realize.

At The Perfect Male Blog, we not only seek men who are capable to have succesful relationships, lives, and good ideas. We also seek for men to realize that happiness is something that is always within a blink of an eye, and that is something most spend an entire lifetime trying to figure out. With that I leave you with a quote from one of my favorite authors, Bertrand Russel.
"The good life, as I conceive it, is a happy life. I do not mean that if you are good you will be happy - I mean that if you are happy you will be good."
